A year from now the global gas world will meet in Copenhagen – the capital of Denmark - at IGRC2014 to discuss the current technological challenges and opportunities facing the gas industry. Gas Innovations Inspiring Clean Energy
Under this theme an extensive technical conference programme will be offered to the delegates comprising some 333 papers presented in parallel oral, workshop and poster sessions. Plenary sessions will cover subjects such as
• How innovations change the gas market
• What is the business case for R&D?
• What are the important technology game changers?
• Important messages from the world of gas technology
The programme covers gas utilisation, gas transmission and distribution, gas production as well as cross-cutting topics such as environment, safety, communication, markets, supply, strategy and HR.

Call for Papers
The call for oral and poster papers will be sent out November 1, 2013.

Be a candidate for our awards of excellence
The Dan Dolenc Award (10,000 €) will be given to an outstanding paper selected amongst all presented papers. The Young Researchers’ Prize (3,500 €) will be given to a high-quality paper presented by a speaker under the age of 35 at the time of the conference. Read more about the two awards
Book your exhibition space now
The exhibition area in the foyer of the Tivoli Congress Centre next to the congress hall and session rooms will also be the venue for buffet breakfasts, luncheons and coffee breaks. Exhibitors are therefore guaranteed an excellent exposure to the delegates throughout the conference. The group of exhibitors will include gas companies, technology organisations, manufacturers, etc. Exhibition space is limited, and potential exhibitors are encouraged to register their interest as soon as possible as space may quickly be sold out.

Join the Innovation and Student Forum
As a new feature the IGRC2014 will encompass an Innovation and Student Forum in a designated exhibition and networking area in close proximity to the trade exhibition, the congress hall and session rooms. In this area we offer exhibitors the opportunity to acquire a Meeting Point consisting of two poster boards and a table. This special forum is intended for small start-up companies, educational organisations, HR-departments, etc. that have a special interest in communicating with students, venture entrepreneurs and organisations/individuals dedicated to R&D. IGU committee meetings in connection with IGRC2014

Bring your accompanying person to Wonderful Copenhagen in late summer, enjoy the sights and meet Harlekin and Columbine at the Tivoli Congress Center. We have adopted Harlekin and Columbine as our cultural theme for IGRC2014 – which you may see reflected in the Harlekin graphics in this newsletter.
An exciting programme dedicated to accompanying persons has been created consisting of networking breakfasts, cultural sessions and sightseeing tours. Accompanying persons are also invited to the Welcome Reception in the Copenhagen Town Hall and the Conference Dinner at Langelinie Pavillonen close to
the Little Mermaid in the Copenhagen Habour.
